Training

Journey Mental Health Center has been active in training and presentations at local, state, regional, and national levels. Journey staff members are available to provide training, consultation, and presentations in many areas of interest for behavioral health care providers, primary medical care providers, and community agencies and groups.  Areas include: implementation and integration of evidence based practices; rapid change cycle process improvement; electronic health record systems; peer involvement in agency practices; cultural competence training and practices; Motivational Interviewing; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy applications; suicide risk assessment; trauma informed services; culturally specific services for Latino/a, African-American, and Hmong populations; substance use disorders; co-occuring disorders; and many others.
