The CEO is a leader with vision and insight who is committed to providing quality services to the persons served. He has encouraged the staff to embrace the CARF standards.

The management team is skilled and knowledgeable, thereby helping to direct quality services to the persons served.

Cultural competency is valued by this organization; it has brochures and information for persons served in Spanish and has subscribed, through the Certified Language International, for language for many of the clients. The organization provides services for several cultural groups of persons seeking mental health and substance abuse services in Madison, Wisconsin.

The organization has the Dialogue Sub-Committee of the Cultural Competency Committee that meets so staff and clients can discuss effective ways in which to communicate to be able to have active listening and respectful sharing with others. The information gathered from this subcommittee is shared with the staff members to enrich their communication skills.

The facilities are attractive and spacious, with a welcoming environment for the persons served, and they are well maintained and have many pieces of cultural artwork throughout. The organization encourages local artists, including many of the persons served, to show their artistic creations in the office buildings.

The emphasis on quality technology is evident through the comprehensive electronic records of the organization, which are continuing to be enhanced and upgraded. The administration has supported the purchase of high quality equipment to assist the staff in running the business and in the provision of services.

Many staff members have longevity with the organization to maintain the stability and continuity of the business and service provision. The administration recognizes the strengths in the longevity and the need to continue to embrace succession planning for many leadership positions.

Referral and funding sources express their appreciation for the services provided to the persons served and state that this organization is seen locally and throughout the state as a leader in service provision.

The organization provides billing for other smaller organizations due to its capabilities of quality billing through electronic media.

Administrative and clinical staff members are dedicated to providing quality clinical services to the persons served.

The organization provides evidence-based training and practices. The organization works hard to provide a positive work environment for staff.

The staff members are highly attuned to safety considerations and have integrated practices to ensure safety.
