Gateway CSP offers a full range of intensive, person-centered, recovery-oriented, mental health and psychosocial rehabilitation services designed to assist individuals in advancing towards personal goals with a focus on community integration and regaining valued roles (e.g., worker, student, child, sibling, resident, spouse, tenant, or friend)

About the ACT Model

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an evidenced-based model of service provision provided by a multidisciplinary team of providers serving individuals with severe mental illness. ACT was developed by the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT)-a program of Mendota Mental Health Institute, in 1972, in Madison, Wisconsin. The ACT model has been disseminated world-wide.In 1970 the State of Wisconsin created certification standards for Wisconsin’s Assertive Community Treatment programs and called them Community Support Programs (CSPs).
