Journey Mental Health Center provides critical crisis and community-based mental health services on behalf of Dane County. For years, funding has fallen short of the actual cost of providing these services.
Journey has used approximately $1.8 million of its own resources over the past four years to cover funding shortfalls. This cannot continue indefinitely.
We're asking Dane County to establish a sustainable funding model in its final 2027 budget to help ensure these services remain available to residents who need them.
