I went to college at the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities and earned a BS in Family Social Science. After several years working in early childhood and parent education home visiting in Dane County, I returned to school and earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. I also completed my Advanced Practice Social Work (APSW) licensure. After graduate school, I worked as a hospice medical social worker for three years, which I truly loved, before finding my way to Journey Mental Health Center. At Journey, I work with adults with mental health diagnoses and a history of substance use.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family - especially my many nieces and nephews. You can often find me thrifting or working on furniture refinishing projects. I love being outdoors, whether it's taking walks with my dog, lounging near a body of water, gardening, enjoying a patio with my husband, or taking a barre class.
