I received both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UW-Platteville and earned a Substance Use Disorders Certificate from UW-Madison. After serving in the Army, I worked as a Probation & Parole Agent for six years before becoming a Regional Program Coordinator with the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs. In that role, I supervised services across a five-county region, working exclusively with veterans facing mental health and substance use challenges. That experience deepened my commitment to supporting individuals with substance use disorders and inspired me to become a treatment provider.
In practice, I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. I work with adults and adolescents with substance use disorders, including individuals from diverse backgrounds - many of whom have been involved in the criminal justice system, are currently experiencing homelessness, or are managing co-occurring disorders. I am huge advocate for veterans' mental health, suicide prevention, and men’s mental health.
Outside of work, I enjoy fitness, golfing, watching sports, playing guitar, and doing fun activities with my family.
