I attended UW-Madison for my undergraduate degree, and I am currently attending Walden University for my graduate program. I currently hold a BS in Elementary Education with a certificate in History and I am working towards a MS in clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis on Trauma and Crisis.
After working with diverse groups of K12 public school students for over two decades, I decided to move towards working full-time on my true passion: mental health and wellness. I have found that my training and experiences working with children and adults with disabilities, English speakers of other languages, and diverse populations in Wisconsin, Florida, and Virginia has increased my ability to meet the varying needs of clients I currently serve.
Outside of work, my interests include reading suspense/mystery novels, attending various community festivals and live music events, traveling, spending time in nature, riding my new E-bike, and spending time with my dog, Penny Lane.
I enjoy assisting clients of all ages to process trauma and loss they have experienced. Additionally, I am interested in working with clients who struggle with substance abuse.
